Philip Hart – Team Owner

As the owner of Hart Racing, Philip Hart leads with passion, faith, and a deep commitment to excellence. With over five years at the helm, he has cultivated a team built on dedication, camaraderie, and the relentless pursuit of success.

Racing Roots & Background

Philip’s journey into motorcycle racing began in 2004 at the age of 14, following in the footsteps of his father, who started racing in 2002. By 2006, he had already made a name for himself, securing 2nd place in multiple categories in the WERA National Series. However, in 2008, his racing career was put on hold when his mother, Kathy Hart, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Family came first, and racing was set aside.

In 2020, Philip reignited his racing career, returning to the track with a renewed passion. His comeback was nothing short of remarkable—in 2021, he clinched two WERA Amateur National Championships, competing on a 17-year-old motorcycle. By 2024, he was consistently on the expert podium and even secured a race win, proving that dedication and experience make all the difference.

What He Loves About Hart Racing

For Philip, Hart Racing is more than just a team—it’s a family. He credits God’s blessings for surrounding him with one of the best teams in the paddock, and he values the friendships and unwavering support that make the journey so special.

What Drives Him

Philip thrives on competition and the sense of community within the paddock. The fans, fellow racers, and organizations involved in the sport are like family to him, making every race weekend an unforgettable experience. His philosophy? “Always be humble and kind.”

Favorite Racing Memory

One of Philip’s proudest moments came at Summit Point in West Virginia, where he raced against an up-and-coming young rider. Despite being on an older bike, he managed to hold off his competitor and take the win at the line, proving that skill and determination can overcome any challenge.

Beyond Racing

When he’s not on the track, Philip enjoys spending time with family and friends and unwinding with video games. His favorite track is Road Atlanta, a circuit he loves for its elevation changes and technical complexity.

Looking Ahead

For 2025, Philip is focused on pushing his limits, inspiring those around him, and striving for a WERA National Championship. A top 5 finish in MotoAmerica is also a key goal. Looking beyond this season, he envisions himself racing at the highest levels of the sport while continuing to foster a positive and supportive community.
