Motorcycle racing is more than just a sport—it’s a passion, a calling, and for those who truly embrace it, a way of life. For the Hart family and their closest friends, that passion was ignited decades ago and has only grown stronger with time. What began as a small team with a shared love for motorcycles evolved into a legacy of faith, perseverance, and competition—one that continues today through Hart Racing.
The story begins with Faith on Wheels Racing, a team founded with a simple yet powerful purpose: to compete at the highest level while staying grounded in faith. Led by Wayne Lowery, a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and racer, Faith on Wheels quickly became a staple in the paddock, built on a foundation of integrity, hard work, and a commitment to honoring God on and off the track.
Among those drawn to the team were John and Philip Hart, a father and son duo who shared not only a love for racing but also a deep appreciation for the values that Faith on Wheels represented. John, a former WERA, CCS, and AMA Pro racer, had spent years developing his craft, and his son Philip followed in his footsteps, fueled by the same competitive fire. Together, they became part of something bigger than racing—a team that felt like family.
For several years, Faith on Wheels competed fiercely, leaving its mark on the racing community. But in 2008, everything changed. Philip Hart’s mother, Kathy Hart, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and the family made the difficult decision to step away from racing to focus on what mattered most—supporting her through her battle. Racing took a backseat, but the bonds formed through Faith on Wheels remained strong.

After more than a decade away from the track, the call to race never faded. In 2020, Philip, now an adult with a renewed drive to compete, decided it was time to return. This time, it wasn’t just about racing—it was about continuing the legacy that Faith on Wheels had started. With the support of Wayne Lowery, John Hart, and a growing team of dedicated individuals, Hart Racing was born.
The team quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with, balancing fierce competition with an unwavering commitment to faith, family, and teamwork. Philip led the charge on track, while Wayne took on the role of Team Manager, and John became the team’s coach, guiding new riders with decades of experience.
Hart Racing wasn’t just about winning races—it was about mentorship, growth, and creating a Christ-centered atmosphere in the paddock. With key figures like Crew Chief Collin Lowery, rider and technician Brennan Triplett, and tech mechanics like Sam Allison, the team became a thriving family where everyone played a crucial role in their success.
Since its rebirth, Hart Racing has grown tremendously, with national championship victories, podium finishes, and an expanding presence in MotoAmerica and WERA racing. The team has given new riders a place to develop their skills, helped mechanics sharpen their craft, and provided a community where faith and racing go hand in hand.
But beyond the trophies and championships, the true victory lies in the impact they’ve made on each other and the sport they love. Every race weekend is another chance to honor their past, push their limits, and inspire the next generation of racers.
From Faith on Wheels to Hart Racing, the mission remains the same: Race with passion. Compete with integrity. Honor God in all things.
And as long as there are riders willing to push the limits, mechanics dedicated to keeping the bikes running, and a team united by faith, the legacy will continue for generations to come.
