John Hart brings decades of racing experience, mentorship, and passion to his role as Team Coach for Hart Racing. With five years dedicated to the team and a background as a former WERA, CCS, and AMA Pro racer, he plays a pivotal role in developing riders and ensuring the team’s success on and off the track.
For John, racing has always been about more than just speed—it’s about family, friendships, and the camaraderie of the sport. He cherishes spending time with his son, Philip, his family, and old racing buddies, making every race weekend a meaningful experience.
John’s biggest motivation is helping his son succeed. As a coach, he combines decades of racing knowledge with a deep understanding of racecraft, strategy, and rider development. His experience as both a competitor and mentor makes him an invaluable part of the Hart Racing team.
One of John’s proudest moments was earning his AMA Pro Card in 2007, a testament to his dedication and skill as a racer.
When he’s not at the track, John stays deeply involved in the motorcycle world as the Riding Academy Manager for Blue Ridge Harley-Davidson in Hickory, NC. His passion for two wheels extends beyond competition, as he helps new riders develop their skills and confidence.
John’s favorite track is Virginia International Raceway (VIR), known for its challenging layout and thrilling elevation changes.
John remains committed to guiding Hart Racing’s riders to their full potential, ensuring the team continues to grow and compete at the highest levels. His experience, mentorship, and dedication make him an essential part of Hart Racing’s success.
