Collin Lowery is the Crew Chief for Hart Racing, bringing a lifetime of hands-on experience, technical expertise, and a passion for precision mechanics to the team. With five years in his role and a background in mechanical engineering, Collin ensures that the team’s race bikes are always performing at their peak.
Collin’s journey into motorcycle racing began at just four years old on a Yamaha PW50. Growing up around his father’s race team, Faith on Wheels, he developed a deep appreciation for both riding and mechanics. This passion led him to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering, along with a bachelor’s in engineering science, giving him the technical foundation to fine-tune high-performance race machines.
As a racer, Collin has ridden at top circuits like Barber Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta, refining his skills on the track. As a crew chief, he has played a crucial role in Hart Racing’s success, including turning around a major repair between sessions to secure a podium finish.
Beyond the track, he applies his engineering expertise as a Lithium-ion battery engineer, researching silicon alloy-based anodes to increase battery capacity, while still chasing his dream of a full-time career in racing.
For Collin, Hart Racing is more than just a team—it’s a family. He values the Christ-centered, close-knit environment, where camaraderie and mentorship extend beyond racing. As crew chief, he takes pride in ensuring technical excellence while helping develop new riders into skilled competitors.
Collin is driven by a lifelong passion for motorcycles and a relentless pursuit of excellence. He thrives on optimizing bike performance and finds immense satisfaction in helping riders grow in confidence and skill. His personal motto, “Faith, Precision, Progress,” reflects his approach—balancing his faith-based values, engineering expertise, and commitment to continuous improvement in both racing and life.
One of Collin’s proudest moments was Hart Racing’s return to the track in 2020, after the hiatus following Faith on Wheels. That next year, Philip Hart won the WERA National Championship, proving that hard work, teamwork, and dedication could create a winning formula—all while maintaining a Christ-centered atmosphere in the paddock.
Laguna Seca (California). As a kid, Collin spent countless hours playing Superbike 2000, a motorcycle simulation game centered around the 2000 World Superbike season. He dreamed of racing the famous Corkscrew section—a dream he still plans to fulfill one day.
Collin’s ultimate goal is to transition into a full-time career in racing, applying his mechanical expertise to help Hart Racing continue to grow and compete at the highest levels. His ability to balance engineering innovation, racing knowledge, and a passion for mentorship makes him an invaluable asset to the team.
