Wayne Lowery – Team Manager

Wayne Lowery is the Team Manager of Hart Racing, bringing over five years of leadership and a lifetime of passion for motorcycle racing. With deep experience both on and off the track, Wayne plays a crucial role in ensuring the team operates at the highest level of professionalism, safety, and success.
Racing Roots & Background
Wayne’s love for motorcycle racing began in 1971, when he attended his first road race at Talladega Superspeedway with his father. In 2001, at the age of 43, he took his passion to the track, racing with WERA. He started on a Suzuki SV-650 and later competed in the C Superbike Expert class on a Yamaha R6.
As the owner and manager of Faith on Wheels Racing, Wayne balanced his racing career alongside his “real job” as a pilot for Delta Airlines. It was during this time that he met John and Philip Hart, forming an unbreakable bond. When Hart Racing relaunched in 2020, Wayne was honored to step into the role of Team Manager.
What He Loves About Hart Racing
Wayne thrives in his role, blending his technical knowledge and racing experience with a deep understanding of the mental and emotional challenges racers face. While he may not have been as fast as Philip and John, he “speaks the language” of racing, making him an invaluable mentor and strategist. Most of all, he cherishes the team aspect, working alongside a dedicated group of racers and crew members who are fully committed to success.
Motivation & Philosophy
A former airline pilot, Wayne takes an analytical approach to racing, with a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism in the pit. However, he also understands the importance of enjoying the journey. The challenge of “having it all”—a balance of precision, passion, and teamwork—is what fuels him. His love for motorcycle racing drives him, and his faith in Jesus empowers him.

His personal motto? “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Wayne’s racing highlights are too many to list, but a few stand out:

  • Finishing 25th in the Daytona 200 after qualifying 64th.
  • Philip’s first win under the Hart Racing banner.
Beyond Racing
Now retired from flying, Wayne enjoys track days on his ZX-6R and SV-650, riding his Super Duke 1290GT on the street, tearing up the dirt on his YZ 250F, and cruising the paddock on his Navi. He also leads a church group at home and cherishes time with his wonderful family and beautiful wife.
Fun Facts
  • He plays piano and drums.
  • He has a degree in Psychology.
  • He has traveled to 27 countries.
Looking Ahead
